Clarence Shields has been a part of many companies over his years in the industry. This list respresents a small portion of his endeavours.

1973 - 1986

Developed an A&W, Smitty's, Dairy Queen along with 5 other Restaurant, Bar, Nightclub facilities in Fort McMurray in Alberta, Canada.

1986 - 1989

Worked with Laventhol Horath as a Hospitality Industry Training Consultant in Edmonton Alberta, Canada.

1992 - 1996

General Manager and was an active sharholder in the Peace Valley Inns, supervising the construction and start-up of a 25 room Hotel along with a 120 seat Smitty's Restaurant and a 120 seat British Pub.

1992 - Present

Working as a hospitality "Turn Around" specialistand Adviser.

1992 - Present

Purchased the food & beverage operation out of receivership and turned it into one of the best Truck Stop food and Beverage operations in Western Canada. Recently Clarence has sold this operation creating Blalckjacks Roadhouse & Games Room.

1994 - Present

Working as a hospitality "Turn around" specialist with Cameron & Exelby.

Castrol Raceway

Part of the group who purchased Castrol raceway out of receivership. Clarence spearheaded the food and beverage department. Castrol Raceway is now recognized as one of the top 10 tracks in North America.

Normac Publishing

Lead the team that created 3 Canadian best sellers. The first book The Bachelors Guide to Ward off Starvation has sold over 300,000 copies world wide.

Opcom Hospitality Solutions

Created the largest independent provider of Telecom services to the Hotel and health care Industries in Western Canada. In 2009 joined forces with Globalive communications becoming Canada's largest independent provider of Operator services. Globalive has grown to become Canada's largest independent provider of Cellular services under the brand Wind Mobile.

Airways Country Inn

Lead the team that purchased the Airways Inn from Hotelier, Ernie Wolver. After numerous renovations and upgrades this hotel has become a cornerstone of the Oil industry. Located at the entrance to Nisku, Canada's largest Oil field industrial park, the hotel plays an important role within the Oil Patch.
